The Homeplace


The Homeplace (Dir. Brett Ingram, 1992, 15 minutes)

Ingram's first student film, shot on Super 8mm film and Super VHS, The Homeplace is a short documentary about Ingram's grandmother, Marie Dillon Ingram, and great aunt, Pauline Dillon Fairchild, facing the loss of their family farm and birthplace to insurmountable hospital bills.

The Homeplace screened on PBS North Carolina, the Carolina Film & Video Festival, and the Smoky Mountain Media Festival (in addition to many family reunions and gatherings!).
